I realize this subject is beyond getting old but can I just add one thing about Nick and Taylor liking each other's post. They have each other's private numbers. They don't have to like social media posts about each other.

If Taylor posts something

1) Nick might already know about it if they text and talk and it isn't news to him and he already said congratulations.

Or

2) Nick would most likely reach out privately to talk to him or support him.

Didn't Nick say in an interview that it's important to him to keep in contact with friends and people he's close with or something like that?

Either way, they both have said they are friends, Taylor recently said they still talk, I'm sure that's true and I'm sure any conversations or comments are happening privately between them.

And using examples like Phil Dunster, etc is ridiculous to compare that to Nick. Phil and Taylor were at two events for SAG. I doubt they exchanged personal numbers. So it makes sense for the public interaction on social media.

It makes no sense for Nick, who does have private access to Taylor.

That's the thing! I said a couple times before that Instagram likes aren't representative of a relationship but I didn't know how to phrase the reason, it's what you said: they have each other's private contact. And this is a fact because 1, how could they not if they had to work with each other 2, it's confirmed by Aneesh that they have a group chat, so that means they have each other's contacts.

And texting is a much more direct way of communication! I have plenty of accounts on my Instagram that are people I don't actually know but are from my high school or my grade.

Instagram is for social networking, and texting is for direct communication.

I mentioned this whole debacle to my best friend who has rwrb on her watch list but is pretty busy catching up with schoolwork, and she scoffed and said "I don't think I liked your posts for your birthday last year". Please note that WE ARE LITERAL BEST FRIENDS, AND HAVE BEEN FOR EIGHT YEARS. We text each other really long birthday messages, and have weekly lunch dates now, and no one sees that but us.

So yeah. Again, social media isn't that representative. Taylor himself say they still talk, they're friends. They text. Just because something isn't seen doesn't inherently mean it doesn't exist.
